During 1 – 4 April 2019, Dr. Luxmon Attapich, Deputy Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) led a delegation to Germany to host the “Thailand Business Network” event, as well as to meet with leading international companies in Smart Electronics, Robotics, and Automation at Hannover Messe 2019 which is an international trade fair for industrial technology and innovation.

Dr. Attapich was also invited to give a speech on “Eastern Economic Corridor: Thailand 4.0 driving force” at the “ASEAN Forum 2019 at Hannover Messe, Southeast Asia’s Transformation to Industry 4.0”, organized by Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the “Thailand Business Network” event, there were 2 panel discussions on Thailand’s Industry 4.0 – The Way Forward and Creating Innovation Partnership for the Future – Opportunities & Challenges. Speakers in the event include CEOs and senior executives from Siemens Co., Ltd. (Thailand), German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC), IRATEC, Co., Ltd. (Thailand), CP Group (Thailand), Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd., Transdev Asia (France), Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karlsruhe, AIRBUS, Thai Federation on Logistics, and Thai Automation and Robotics Association.

The event aimed to publicize Thailand 4.0, the EEC project, as well as the business and investment opportunities in Smart Electronics, Robotics, and Automation. Moreover, during this mission EECO delegation also met with the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), IHK Karlsruhe and Deutsche Messe.

Hannover Messe 2019 is one of the world’s largest international trade fair for industrial technology and innovation. The fair had exhibition from leading global firms in various fields, including R&D, Industrial Automation & IT, Robotics, Industrial Supply, Production Engineering & Services, as well as Energy and Environmental Technology. In 2019, there were over 210,000 visitors, with 6,150 exhibitors participated in the fair.
